Position Overview
The Director, Site Operations – Mexico serves as Paylocity’s designated country leader and is accountable for the overall effectiveness, growth, and strategic alignment for the Mexico-based teams within the organization.
Acting as a key liaison between Mexico-based teams and enterprise leadership, this role provides matrix leadership across Operations, Product & Technology, and Corporate Functions while overseeing site operations, workplace services, business continuity, and local stakeholder relationships. The Country Manager helps ensure alignment with enterprise priorities while supporting a strong team member experience, operational excellence, and compliance with local employment and regulatory requirements.

Country Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as Paylocity’s designated country leader and visible representative for Mexico, strengthening the company’s presence, reputation, and strategic influence with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with executive and functional leaders to develop and execute strategies that support business growth, workforce expansion, and operational objectives in Mexico.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise leaders on workforce, operational, cultural, and market considerations, ensuring local needs and opportunities are represented in business planning and decision-making.
- Help shape and advance Paylocity’s long-term location strategy and growth roadmap for Mexico.
- Build and maintain relationships with key business, industry, government, and educational stakeholders that support business and talent objectives.
- Provide matrix leadership and coordination across Operations, Product & Technology, and Corporate Functions (including Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Facilities, Compliance, Information Security, and other enterprise support functions) located in Mexico.
- Foster collaboration, communication, and alignment across teams with varying reporting structures and business priorities.
- Serve as the escalation point for site-wide organizational and operational challenges spanning multiple functions.
- Champion initiatives that strengthen team member engagement, inclusion, recognition, retention, and development.
- Partner with leaders to cultivate a workplace environment that reflects Paylocity’s values and culture.
- Support leadership communication, change management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Serve as a visible and accessible leader for employees across Mexico-based functions.
- Partner closely with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Facilities, Procurement, Information Security, Technology, and other corporate functions to support business operations and workforce growth.
- Coordinate the local implementation of enterprise programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between Mexico-based teams and U.S.-based support functions.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies through partnership with Legal, Human Resources, Finance, and external advisors.
- Monitor and mitigate operational, compliance, and business risks, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Support audit, governance, and enterprise risk management activities.
- Ensure appropriate controls, documentation, and processes are maintained to support regulatory compliance and business continuity.
- Serve as the accountable site leader for Mexico workplace operations, ensuring the office environment, infrastructure, vendor services, and support functions effectively meet business needs and growth objectives.
- Provide matrix leadership and governance over Facilities, Procurement, Physical Security, Workplace Experience, Business Continuity, and other site-support functions operating in Mexico.
- Support office planning, growth initiatives, vendor management, and operational readiness to develop and maintain a multi-year site maturity roadmap and mitigate risks or barriers to growth.
- Lead site-level crisis management, emergency response coordination, and business continuity planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Management, or related field required.
- MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership and company growth experience within a multinational SaaS, technology, or shared services organization, including experience working within a U.S.-headquartered company with globally distributed teams.
- Experience serving as a country leader, site leader, general manager, or regional operations leader.
- Demonstrated success leading through influence in a highly matrixed environment.
- Experience leading or supporting Mexico-based operations within a multinational organization, including demonstrated understanding of local business practices, workforce dynamics, employment regulations, and cultural considerations.
- Experience partnering across multiple business functions, including Operations, Technology, HR, Finance, and Legal.
- Strong understanding of Mexico business practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements, and the broader employment landscape.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, relationship-building, and executive presence skills.
- Excellent bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience supporting workforce growth, organizational scaling, and site expansion initiatives.
