Role Summary
Commure is looking for a Sr. Backend Software engineer to assist in building robust, high-quality software using a modern tech stack that includes Golang, TypeScript, and Kubernetes.
Reporting into the Head of Engineering, you will be a crucial member of the Engineering Team. At Commure, Engineers work side by side with physicians within our company as well as our healthcare partners to design, implement, and maintain solutions that meet the concrete needs of providers. You will work with various teams in Commure to deliver software products that support Commure's business growth.
With your enjoyment of wrangling real-world complexity into deceivingly simple solutions and a shared commitment to high-quality engineering practices using modern tools and languages - you will be viewed as an integral member of our collaborative Engineering, Product, and Design team and provide a valued voice as we scale our team and culture.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ideation, architecture, and implementation of new products aimed at disrupting the healthcare industry
Prioritize and plan for deliverables in an iterative development strategy, while building and shipping enterprise-grade software
Design, document, code, and test technical solution for new systems or enhancements to existing systems
Provide feedback and collaborate on a variety of projects, including both design and code reviews
Work with cutting-edge technologies such as Rust, Kubernetes, GitOps, and distributed databases
Work with various teams in Commure to deliver software products that support Commure's business growth.
Contribute to the leading open-source standards in healthcare
Envision system features and functionalities by analyzing business requirements
Have end-to-end ownership of projects throughout their lifecycle, supporting both engineers at Commure and third-party developers
Create and modify development process and procedures with the development staff
Ensure architecture and designs are aligned with overall Enterprise Architecture guidelines
Good articulator to all levels, capable of deep technical conversations with engineers and delivering concise messaging with product team and other business stakeholders
Requirements
5+ years of progressive coding experience
BS degree in computer science/related field or relevant work experience
Experience designing, analyzing, and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
Full-stack development with familiarity in backend languages & technologies like Golang, Typescript, GraphQL, RESTful APIs
Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS and Azure
Ability to quickly develop competencies in numerous technologies (i.e. you can learn quickly!)
