At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.

Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission. We've also been named to the Fortune Future 50 list and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards for “Overall NLP Company of the Year.”

Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.

The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.

We’re hiring an AI & Technology Finance leader to own financial planning and business partnership for our Engineering, Product & Design (EPD) and General & Administrative (G&A) organizations. You’ll gain experience across the full cost side of the P&L: OpEx, headcount, capital allocation, and operating leverage. You’ll own the R&D + G&A spend and headcount envelope, partner directly with technical and corporate leaders, and help build the infrastructure and tools needed to scale these functions in a fast-paced, pre-IPO healthcare technology environment. Critically, you’ll also drive the company’s AI and LLM strategy across finance and the teams you support.

What You’ll Do

  • Business Partnership & Relationship Building: Forge trusted relationships and serve as the primary finance partner to EPD and G&A leadership. Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights that drive engineering, product, and corporate decision-making.

  • Drive the AI & LLM Strategy: Define and drive the company’s AI/LLM strategy across finance and the EPD/G&A functions. Identify and prioritize value-led AI pilots, stand up LLM-powered forecasting, reporting, and automation, set governance and upskilling standards, quantify the ROI of AI investments, and partner with technical leaders on AI build-vs-buy and compute/infrastructure spend.

  • Own the R&D + G&A Spend Envelope: Own OpEx and headcount for EPD and G&A end-to-end. Set spend and hiring guardrails, give leaders early visibility into risks and trade-offs, and protect operating leverage as the company scales.

  • Workforce & Headcount Planning: Build bottoms-up headcount models and a dollar-based resource envelope. Partner with People/Talent and functional leaders to sequence hiring against the product roadmap, compliance needs, and operational scale.

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly updates with clear assumptions and crisp variance narratives. Own the EPD/G&A budget and expense plan.

  • SaaS, Vendor & Cost Optimization: Partner with Procurement to manage internal tooling and SaaS spend. Run a tracked pipeline of renewals, vendor rationalization, and efficiency opportunities.

  • Ad Hoc Modeling & Scenario Planning: Build sophisticated models to evaluate unit economics, ROI of R&D and infrastructure investments, build-vs-buy decisions, and overall capital efficiency.

  • Systems & Process Building: Design and implement scalable, automated forecasting and reporting processes and the data infrastructure behind them.

What You’ll Have

  • 6+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, banking, and/or consulting, with a tour of duty in a high-growth, unstructured environment

  • Experience partnering with R&D/Engineering/Product and/or G&A functions; comfort with headcount-driven cost structures and OpEx management

  • Hands-on LLM literacy (e.g., Claude Cowork & Code) and a clear point of view on applying AI to finance and operations

  • Bias for action and ability to drive multiple, concurrent projects to completion

  • Excellent communication, with the ability to distill complex financial topics into clear, compelling narratives

  • Comfort in a high-visibility role; confident presenting to senior executives and external partners

  • Experience with core finance and sales tech stack (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) and FP&A platforms (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive)

  • Familiarity with SQL and low/no-code dashboarding tools (e.g., Retool, Looker) is a plus

  • Experience in healthcare SaaS, M&A integration, and/or exposure to enterprise deal structures is a plus

  • STEM degree and/or CFA charterholder is a plus
