About the Role
We are seeking a high caliber Manager, Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to join our US based operations from our Dhaka office. This is a critical role for our growing organization. You will be a commercially sharp and tech savvy procurement leader responsible for building and scaling our end to end SaaS and technology procurement function.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in multinational environments who have managed complex indirect spend portfolios, built procurement systems from the ground up, negotiated high impact contracts, and consistently delivered measurable business value.
We are particularly interested in tapping into the exceptional procurement talent emerging from Bangladesh with exposure to global standards and practices.
What You’ll Do
-
SaaS & Technology Procurement (Primary Focus)
Build the full lifecycle of SaaS and software procurement — from requirements intake, vendor identification, RFP/RFQ, negotiation, to contract execution and renewal management.
Develop and maintain a SaaS vendor portfolio, managing software licenses, subscription tiers, usage-based contracts, and renewal calendars across the organization.
Benchmark SaaS pricing against market data; leverage data-driven insights to negotiate optimal TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and flexible contract terms.
Evaluate and select procurement management tools to streamline intake-to-procure workflows.
Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and business unit leaders to identify software needs, align on specifications, and prevent shadow IT spend.
-
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend including technology, professional services, marketing, HR platforms, and administrative services.
Lead multi-vendor bidding events, RFx processes, and reverse auctions to drive competitive procurement outcomes.
Build and maintain an approved vendor database; conduct regular supplier performance reviews and risk assessments.
Identify and deliver annual cost savings and cost avoidance targets; prepare detailed savings reports for leadership.
-
Contract & Vendor Management
Negotiate, draft, and manage vendor contracts including MSAs, SaaS subscription agreements, SOWs, and NDAs in coordination with Legal.
Ensure contract compliance, track key milestones, renewals, and SLAs — flagging risks proactively to stakeholders.
Foster strategic supplier relationships that create long-term value beyond transactional pricing.
-
Process, Compliance & Reporting
Establish and enforce procurement policies, approval workflows, and spend governance frameworks.
Maintain spend analytics dashboards; deliver monthly and quarterly procurement performance reports to Finance and leadership.
Drive digital procurement transformation — implementing automation, e-procurement tools, and AI-assisted sourcing solutions.
Ensure compliance with US data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to SaaS vendor agreements and data processing terms.
What You Have
-
Experience
5–8 years of progressive procurement/strategic sourcing experience
Demonstrated experience in indirect or SaaS/software procurement at a multinational company
Hands-on experience with global procurement platforms
Comfort building procurement processes from scratch using tools like value-stream mapping
Experience working in or with US-based organizations — understanding of US contracting norms, vendor landscape, and business culture
Proven track record of delivering cost savings through structured sourcing methodology
Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across global teams
Familiarity with SaaS commercial models: per-seat pricing, usage-based, enterprise licensing
Prior exposure to data privacy clauses and DPA (Data Processing Agreements) in vendor contracts
-
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional negotiation skills — able to secure favorable commercial terms with both global SaaS vendors and local service providers.
Strong analytical capability — comfortable working in Excel/Google Sheets for spend analysis, TCO modeling, and savings tracking.
Commercially astute with a bias for value creation, not just cost-cutting.
Clear, confident communicator in English — written and verbal — with ability to present to senior leadership.
Self-directed and highly organized; able to manage multiple concurrent sourcing projects with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with AI and automation tools as they apply to procurement workflows.
-
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (required).
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain / International Business is a strong advantage.
Professional certifications such as CSCA™, CPSM, CIPS, Dip.SCM (ITC), or equivalent are highly valued.
Fluency in English is essential; professional written communication to US standards is required.
