What you'll do

  • Perform detailed structural and structural/thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures, components, and systems.
  • Guide structural optimization and design improvements.
  • Deliver detailed FEM Models used for analysis, from GFEM to detailed analysis.
  • Define sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysis.
  • Deliver preliminary sizing calculations, hand calculations, and simplified estimates to inform the design.
  • Support ground and flight tests.
  • Deliver detailed technical reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures.
  • Support the definition and execution of the qualification and certification process.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
  • 8-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineer
  • FEM experience with Nastran, from building models to analysis, postprocessing, and debugging.
  • Experienced with stress-hand calculation/analytical methods.
  • Experience with both metallic and composite lightweight structural design for aerospace.
  • Experience with Flight and Ground Loads, Structural requirements, Calculations, and reporting in the frame of aerospace regulations/certification standards.
  • Experience with Matlab.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the English language is required. Knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, French, or German language is an advantage.
