About the role

Imagine being at the heart of a cutting-edge test site where every sensor reading, control signal, and data stream matters. As the Test Site Measurement and Control Systems Engineer, you take ownership of the systems that turn complex tests into reliable results. You work side by side with design and testing teams, shaping how sensors, acquisition systems, and actuators are designed, integrated, and operated across the full lifecycle. From early concepts to live operations, your expertise ensures that the data is accurate, the systems are robust, and the test site performs at its best when it matters most.

At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.

What You´ll Do

  • Lead design projects of measurement and control systems for test site related to fluid systems (pressure regulators, valves) and devices under tests (flowrate pressure, temperature, thrust, vibrations).
  • Define measurement-control chain requirements from customers’ needs in consistence with other systems (fluid systems, mechanical integration, safety).Contribute to the definition and implementation of high-dynamic measurement systems for propulsion testing.
  • Design measurement-control chains, analyze their performances (bandwidth, response time, reliability) and justify the design choices considering applicable safety framework (including explosive atmosphere directives and cryogens risks).
  • Select the relevant components considering project constraints. Define and implement sensor solutions, including instrumentation selection, integration, calibration, and validation.
  • Prepare and participate in design reviews.
  • Manage suppliers for procurement, manufacturing, integration, and testing.
  • Deliver technical documentation including design justification, commissioning plan, testing and operation procedures.
  • Prepare and participate in integration of the chains (hands-on work).
  • Prepare, perform, and synthetize results from commissioning.
  • Prepare and participate in test risk analysis and test preparation.
  • Ensure measurement accuracy, traceability, and repeatability across test campaigns, including pre- and post-test calibration activities.
  • Prepare, perform, and synthetize results from customer tests.

What You’ll Need

  • MSc. in measurement or control or aerospace engineering
  • +5 years of experience in a similar role related to measurement and control systems
  • Strong knowledge of the measurement and control components (pressure sensors, Resistance Temperature Detectors, thermocouples, flowmeters, communication bus and protocols, Digital Acquisitions Systems, control loops, valve actuators, electrical motors). Knowledge of HBK products is beneficial.
  • Good to have experience with hydrogen, explosive atmosphere regulations, solid propellants, and cryogenic fluids
  • Strong understanding of fluid systems
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, analytical and synthesis skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Autonomy and problem-solving behavior
  • Fluent in English as working language. French or German language is beneficial.

Who You Are

You are an engineer who feels at home close to the hardware and the data. You bring a hands-on mindset, strong technical judgment, and the confidence that comes from years of making measurement and control systems work in real test environments. You enjoy working in small, focused teams where your contribution truly matters, and you naturally take ownership when something needs to be designed, fixed, or improved.
