About the Role
The Options Lead oversees the post trade processing of Options and plays a vital role in the end-to-end option lifecycle for OCC-specific products. In this role, you will be directly responsible for working with the responsible party to handle Settlements, Purchase & Sales, OCC position reconciliation, assignment & exercise processing, corporate actions processing, ACAT’s, regulatory reporting, and expiration day risk management.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the complete post-trade lifecycle for exchange listed options—clearing, reconciliation, and settlement—using OCC’s ENCORE platform, or that of the responsible OCC clearing member.
- Process daily activity, including trades, exercises/assignments, expiration events, and position reconciliations.
- Monitor and resolve trade breaks, unmatched activity, and clearing discrepancies in coordination with counterparties and clearing firms.
- Confirm that corporate actions, accelerated options, cash-in-lieu processing, and corporate events are processed promptly.
- Monitor OCC notices, market events, and rule changes, and ensure relevant impacts are assessed and addressed operationally.
- Collaborate with operations, technology, and compliance teams to maintain and improve straight-through processing and exception handling.
- Drive requirements gathering and process improvement efforts, collaborating with clients, SMEs, third-party vendors, and internal product teams.
- Prioritize features and enhancements using MoSCoW principles to align with business goals and development capacity.
- Work closely with development teams to validate solution designs and define implementation plans.
- Collaborate with QA teams to establish clear and measurable user acceptance criteria.
- Support during implementation and deployment of Trade Capture and P&S enhancements.
- Monitor industry developments impacting trade capture and back-office flows
What You Bring
- 10+ years experience working with OCC Encore in a clearing capacity as well as fintech operational product experience/knowledge.
- Experience with one or more industry platforms such as Broadridge BPS, BetaNxt, Phase3 or InteliClear.
- Solid understanding of US Options retail, correspondent clearing, and institutional trade flows (bonus: equities, fixed income, mutual funds).
- Knowledge of Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) flows in trade processing and clearing.
- Familiarity with OCC file types and processing cycles (e.g., E&A files, CMR, position files).
- Exposure to regulatory reporting (e.g., FOCUS reports, segregation reporting) as it relates to options clearing.
- Familiarity with both fully disclosed and omnibus account structures.
- Possess a FINRA S7,S4
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented with the ability to build effective, internal and external relationships.
Nice to Have but Not Required
- SQL or data analytics skills for building reports and supporting exception analysis.
- Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
- Hands-on technical proficiency in SQL, REST API integrations, etc.

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.
Please note: this role is expected to come into our office on a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.

Pay is generally based upon the level, complexity, responsibility, location and job duties / requirements of the specific position. We then source candidates with the requisite skills, expertise, education, training, and experience.
