Last Energy seeks an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all activities, projects, and personnel within the Electrical Engineering disciplines for a power plant design. A crucial component of this role involves understanding and implementing modularization techniques as is designing with the goal of mass production of power stations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the electrical engineering functions for the design, budget and estimation for large scale industrial projects
- Lead efforts performed by group members to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations
- Originate and manage client relationships, developing key relationships with decision makers and point of contacts within utilities, developers and EPCs
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and structural engineers throughout the development of industrial projects
- Provide project construction support through RFIs and submittal review, contractor and owner request management, QA/QC of design work and more
- Oversee and manage electrical engineers through performance of electrical calculations, load flow, voltage drop and more
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is strongly preferred
- Experience in Power Plant or Data Center Design
- Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to both project team members and clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing start-up environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
