Last Energy (LE) seeks a BIM Coordinator to develop, implement, and manage BIM standards on all relative projects, files, and models. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM processes and protocols, as well as the delivery of BIM models and related services for our projects.
This role will ensure the integrity of the BIM library and will report directly to the VP of Product in LE's DC office.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Use architectural knowledge to lead BIM project setup, project work modeling, and detailing
- Help facilitate BIM workflow
- Oversee NavisWorks 4D & 5D implementation
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent use of BIM across all phases of the project
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of BIM models, including clash detection and resolution
- Communicate with subcontractors to receive, coordinate and update all electronic models
- Link BIM to the project construction phase for submittals, construction models, and schedules
- Cross-coordinate among multiple engineering disciples (civil, structural, mechanical, chemical, electrical, and architectural)
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in BIM management
- Strong knowledge of BIM software, ideally including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of BIM processes, workflows, and protocols
- Experience in managing BIM projects from inception to completion
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Familiarity with mechanical and/or chemical engineering concepts, including equipment and systems design, manufacture, installation, and assembly, is desirable
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
- Strong critical thinking abilities, able to creatively solve problems, navigate ambiguity, and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to the intended audience
