Manifest is building the most trusted legal media brand for global talent navigating the U.S. immigration system — and a world-class content ecosystem that spans our SEO-driven blog, news platform, and, eventually, a full-fledged media arm.

We combine journalism, storytelling, and strategy to make complex immigration law human, understandable, and empowering. Our editorial team produces SEO-driven explainers, practical guides, policy analysis, and community stories that help skilled immigrants make informed, confident choices about their futures.

We’re scaling fast, and we’re looking for a Managing Editor who brings sharp editorial instincts, operational excellence, and SEO expertise to help us grow with consistency and integrity.

You’ll be the editorial and operational heartbeat of Manifest’s content studio, managing writers, refining content, and building the systems and processes that make high-quality publishing scalable.

You’ll work closely with the Content Lead (Haley) to keep our content sharp, credible, and discoverable. This means balancing editorial instincts with operational precision: editing content to match our brand voice and editorial standards, running a tight process, and helping the team deliver great work on time.

• Edit and refine longform content for clarity, accuracy, and structure.

• Ensure editorial excellence and SEO best practices across every piece of content.

• Manage editorial production across writers, editors, and formats — blog, SEO, video scripts, newsletters.

• Build workflows, templates, and checklists that keep projects moving and standards high.

• Maintain the editorial calendar and track deliverables in our project management system.

• Coach writers and editors on structure, sourcing, fact-checking, and tone.

• Identify gaps, fix bottlenecks, and continuously tighten the processes around how content gets made.

What Success Looks Like

• Every piece of content is on brand, on time, and optimized for reach.

• Writers and editors know what “good” looks like and how to deliver it.

• The content pipeline is visible, predictable, and scalable.

• Quality never drops, even as publishing volume grows.

• Have 3-5 years of experience in editorial, content ops, or digital publishing.

• Can edit with speed and judgment—not just grammar, but logic and narrative flow.

• Know SEO fundamentals and how to apply them without killing the story.

• Are comfortable managing freelancers and keeping distributed teams accountable.

• Think in systems, but still care deeply about language and voice.

• Have a journalist’s eye for accuracy and a builder’s mindset for process.
