The Role

We're hiring the Head of Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives to own Manifest's most critical strategic initiatives - from new practice area expansion to the entire M&A function within Manifest.

Here at Manifest Law we're building the largest law firm ever created and this role is critical to move fast in expanding to new businesses and opportunities. You'll independently drive our biggest bets, from identifying multi-million dollar expansion opportunities to building and executing the playbooks that unlock our next phase of hyper-growth. Think new legal verticals, strategic partnerships, new product launches, M&A opportunities, and other high-impact initiatives.

This isn't about managing existing operations - it's about autonomously identifying and capturing the white space opportunities that will 10x our business. You'll report directly to the founder and CEO, with full ownership to evaluate strategic options, size markets, build business cases, and execute the initiatives that make it onto our roadmap.

Success means having the intellectual horsepower to dissect complex markets, the business fundamentals to build compelling investment cases, and the operational independence to turn strategy into results.

What You’ll Do

  • Own strategic market expansion: Independently evaluate and prioritize new legal verticals for Manifest to enter, sizing TAM/SAM, analyzing competitive landscapes, and building the business case for highest-ROI growth opportunities.

  • Lead strategic launches: Take full ownership of approved initiatives from concept to execution, building 30/60/90 day action plans and driving cross-functional teams to bring new verticals and opportunities to market.

  • Drive competitive intelligence: Autonomously research incumbent players and emerging competitors across expansion areas, identifying market gaps and positioning opportunities for Manifest.

  • Own the entire M&A function: Lead all aspects of inorganic growth strategy - from target identification and due diligence to deal structuring and integration planning.

  • Launch and test new business ideas: Operate as a 0-to-1 lead, independently building landing pages, buying traffic, conducting customer development, and validating new market opportunities.

  • Build scalable frameworks: Create repeatable processes for evaluating strategic opportunities, enabling faster decision-making as we scale.

  • Shape product and GTM strategy: Independently assess how new initiatives align with Manifest's core differentiators and recommend strategic direction to leadership.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or similar analytical roles with demonstrated experience in strategic analysis and market research

  • Early-stage experience with hands-on involvement in building or scaling businesses, preferably in high-growth startup environments

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, conduct rigorous market analysis, and build compelling business cases from the ground up

  • Strong business fundamentals including Financial modeling, market sizing, competitive analysis, and strategic framework development

  • Ambitious and hungry mindset with intellectual curiosity and drive to tackle complex, high-impact challenges that will shape the future of the company

  • Structured thinking with the ability to bring order to chaos while maintaining attention to detail in fast-moving environments

  • Execution-oriented approach - comfortable moving from strategy to tactics and rolling up sleeves to make things happen

  • Fluent in Excel/analytical tools and comfortable working with data to drive insights and recommendations
