About You:
You’re a hands-on technical recruiter who knows how to find and close exceptional talent in competitive, niche markets. You’re comfortable operating with ambiguity and partnering directly with founders and engineering leaders.
You can build pipelines from scratch and understand how to engage highly specialized candidates.You have a strong grasp of technical roles across software, embedded systems, robotics, or aerospace, and you can quickly calibrate what “great” looks like. You take ownership, move with urgency, and prioritize a high-quality candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
- Own full-cycle recruiting from intake through close across technical and GTM roles
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and hiring strategy
- Build and manage pipelines for roles across autonomy, embedded systems, flight software, aerospace, robotics, and AI/ML
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, GitHub, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Conduct recruiter screens and manage candidates through the interview process
- Drive offer processes, including closing and negotiation
- Maintain a strong and consistent candidate experience
- Track pipeline activity and provide regular updates to leadership
- Improve recruiting processes, tools, and employer brand
Requirements:
- 4+ years of technical recruiting experience in agency or in-house environments
- Demonstrated success hiring for hard-to-fill engineering roles
- Strong sourcing skills and experience engaging passive candidates
- Working knowledge of technical domains such as software, embedded systems, robotics, or aerospace
- Ability to manage multiple roles and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and closing skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience recruiting in aerospace, autonomous systems, robotics, or defense technology
- Familiarity with GNC, avionics, or flight systems roles
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth company
- Experience using ATS platforms such as Lever, Ashby, or Greenhouse
This position is based on-site at Merlin HQ in Boston, MA.
