About DMG: Divisions Maintenance Group provides facility maintenance services to retail chains and distribution and fulfillment centers across the country. We are leading the way with our technology, creating world-class products that are revolutionizing the industry and fulfilling our brand promise of "Uninterrupted Peace of Mind." DMG is a Certified Great Place to Work with a strong, inclusive culture and top-notch benefits.
Job Summary: A manager in this role will lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering AI-powered products and capabilities that make DMG's sales organization more effective. This team sits at the intersection of engineering, data, and go-to-market execution – building intelligent features that help Account Executives prospect, identify growth opportunities, generate proposals, and close deals more efficiently. As manager, you are ultimately accountable for the delivery quality, technical health, and business impact of your team's work. You will partner closely with Product Management, Sales Enablement, and Revenue Operations to translate strategy into shipped software. Whether leading architecture discussions, removing blockers, or coaching team members, you bring a strong customer service orientation, a continuous improvement mindset, and a genuine commitment to building a high-performing team that consistently delivers value.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 5–6 engineers building agentic AI products for sales effectiveness, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture with a focus on both delivery and team member development.
- Drive the architecture and end-to-end delivery of AI agents across the sales workflow: prospecting and outreach, account expansion and retention signal surfacing, proposal generation automation, and in-flow AE coaching.
- Partner with Product Management and Sales Enablement leadership to define and execute the technical roadmap, ensuring engineering priorities are tightly aligned with business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Sales, and Data teams to integrate AI agent outputs into existing workflows and drive consistent adoption across the AE organization.
- Be hands-on and provide technical leadership to the team — contributing to solution design, architecture decisions, and code review as needed to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Foster a culture of innovation and applied experimentation; translate emerging AI capabilities into production-ready systems that deliver measurable business value.
- Set clear goals and expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities that support team members' career growth.
- Recruit and develop top engineering talent; identify skills gaps and build a plan to close them through hiring and partner development.
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional working relationships with Product, Sales, RevOps, and Data stakeholders.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively to engineering and product leadership.
What You Need:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering production-grade systems.
- 3+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams, including coaching and performance management.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, or deploying AI/ML-powered products — including LLM-based applications, agentic workflows, or intelligent automation systems.
- Experience working on public cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and deploying solutions using cloud-native principles and security best practices.
- Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum solution design and development methodology.
- Familiarity with Salesforce APIs or CRM integration patterns is a plus.
- Ability to leverage business knowledge and sound judgment to determine appropriate course of action in fast-moving, ambiguous situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with and present ideas to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Product, Sales, and Operations stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to manage the demands of a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
