Role Overview
The Lead - Sales Operations acts as the backbone of the sales organization, driving operational efficiency, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making. This role ensures that the sales team has the tools, insights, and infrastructure required to achieve revenue goals. The incumbent collaborates closely with leadership, marketing, finance, and customer service to align sales processes with organizational strategy.
What you’ll do:
1. Sales Strategy & Planning
- Partner with leadership to design, plan, and execute the annual sales strategy and targets.
- Lead sales forecasting, territory planning, and quota allocation across teams and regions.
- Develop and maintain sales playbooks and operating cadences (pipeline reviews, QBRs, etc.).
- Conduct win/loss analyses and provide insights to refine go-to-market strategies.
2. Process Optimization
- Audit and streamline the end-to-end sales process from lead to revenue recognition.
- Standardize and automate repetitive tasks through CRM workflows, tools, and dashboards.
- Define and enforce best practices for lead routing, deal hygiene, and funnel management.
- Drive adoption of CRM and ensure high data quality across the sales organization.
3. Sales Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards and reports for pipeline, performance, and productivity tracking.
- Track sales KPIs and identify areas of underperformance or growth opportunities.
4. Sales Enablement & Training
- Design and run the sales onboarding and continuous learning program for new and existing team members.
- Track sales competency levels and design personalized coaching interventions to enhance performance.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing on lead quality, funnel conversion, and campaign ROI.
- Collaborate with Finance for forecasting accuracy, revenue recognition, and commissions.
- Work with Product and Customer Success to align customer feedback loops and retention insights.
- Support executive leadership in preparing for board meetings, investor reports, and strategic reviews.
What we are looking for:
- Master's degree in Business (MBA preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in sales operations
- Proven track record of supporting large or distributed sales teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills using data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in Telecom, Handsets, consumer appliances industries is preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Sales experience preferred.
