About Pepr AI
We are building the AI Operator for growth to replace the traditional ad agency with autonomous code. We apply the quant rigor of high-frequency trading to optimize ad spend, delivering a massive 20-50% upside in efficiency for our partners.
We are already managing critical spend for global category leaders like Cider and Cupshe with a clear path to managing billions of dollars in autonomous volume. We are backed by Quiet Capital and are looking for early engineers to join us in San Francisco.
The Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build the cockpit for our autonomous system.
While our backend engines run the math, you will build the interface that builds trust. You will own the entire layer where humans interact with the machine. This is not about building static dashboards. You are building a Command Center that allows CFOs and Growth Leaders to monitor live experiments, understand the rationale behind every AI decision and inject strategic guardrails.
You will lead the transition of Pepr from a white-glove service to a fully self-serve platform. You will design the systems that allow a $100M brand to hand over the keys to their P&L with confidence.
What You'll Do
Build the Command Center: Architect the primary web interface where executives monitor performance. You will build real-time dashboards for live experiments, audit logs for every trade and admin panels for setting safety guardrails.
Engineer the Slack Operating System: Build deep Slack integrations that serve as the primary interface for our users. You will create workflows for anomaly alerts, push notifications for things of note and interactive approval flows that allow humans to authorize high-stakes decisions without leaving the chat.
Develop Generative Analytics: Integrate LLMs to power on-demand analysis. You will build interfaces where users can ask natural language questions about their data and receive instant generated charts, visualizations and experiment readouts.
Design for Explainability: Build the UI components that explain why the AI made a decision. You will visualize complex causal data into intuitive Rationale cards that bridge the gap between black-box math and human strategy.
Who You Are
Product-Minded Engineer: You have 4+ years of experience building full-stack web applications. You don't just implement specs; you care about the user journey and have an intuition for how to display complex data simply.
Modern Stack Expert: You are fluent in React + TypeScript on the frontend and Python or Node.js on the backend. You know how to build fast and responsive interfaces.
Communicator of Complexity: You excel at progressive disclosure. You know how to present high-level signals to an executive while keeping deep technical details accessible for the analyst without overwhelming the interface.
High Agency: You see a friction point in the user experience and you fix it. You view the product interface as the primary driver of trust.
Bonus Points
Slack App Development: Experience building complex Slack apps using the Bolt framework or similar interactive bot platforms.
LLM Integration: Experience designing patterns for streaming text and structured data to the frontend to create low-latency AI experiences.
Component Libraries: Experience building or maintaining a design system.
Startups: You have built a product from zero to one and know how to iterate quickly based on user feedback.
