The Fraud & Trust team protects the platform from abuse while enabling sustainable growth. The Fraud Prevention Specialist will work closely to analyze fraud patterns, design mitigation strategies, and continuously improve fraud controls while balancing risk, conversion, and user experience.As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for:
Main Responsibilities
Analyze transaction data and user behavior to detect fraud patterns and emerging attack vectors.
Design, implement, and iterate fraud prevention strategies, including rules and operational controls.
Monitor fraud metrics and evaluate the impact of fraud controls on losses, approvals, and user experience.
Partner with Payments, Product, Data, and Operations teams to implement and optimize fraud controls.
Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
Adapt strategies quickly as fraud patterns evolve and new risks emerge.

Job Specific Experiences Required
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Advanced SQL (Snowflake or similar) for data analysis and fraud investigations.
Strong Excel skills for analysis and quick data exploration.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Intermediate Python for analysis, automation, or investigations.
Understanding of payment flows, fraud signals, and risk controls.
Experience with rule-based fraud systems, risk scoring models, or fraud vendors.
Nice to Have
Experience with ML models for fraud detection (logistic regression, tree models, anomaly detection).
Exposure to AI tools or LLMs for analysis or automation.
Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or high-volume platforms.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
Curiosity and investigative thinking to identify root causes of fraud.
Ability to adapt quickly and make decisions in fast-moving environments.
