Role Overview:
We’re looking for a strategic, consultative Mid-Market Account Executive to help bring Spruce to larger and more complex healthcare organizations. You’ll lead the full sales cycle — from discovery to close — for customers typically in the $15K–$40K ACV range, where deals require a deeper understanding of workflows, stakeholder alignment, and value articulation.
This role demands a savvy negotiator and trusted advisor who can navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups and tailor solutions to the clinical and operational challenges that our customers face. You’ll own both inbound and outbound motions, managing a balanced pipeline while partnering closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. What You’ll Do:
- Own complex sales cycles: Lead discovery, demos, stakeholder management, pricing, and negotiation for mid-market healthcare customers. Average sales cycles of 4-10 weeks.
- Run a consultative sales motion: Uncover business pain points, map solutions, and build value-driven proposals that align Spruce’s value with customer goals.
- Balance inbound and outbound: Nurture high-intent inbound opportunities while proactively sourcing and engaging new prospects.
- Navigate multi-stakeholder deals: Build consensus across clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders to move opportunities forward.
- Negotiate with sophistication: Manage pricing discussions and contracts with an eye toward long-term customer relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to improve lead quality, onboarding experience, and expansion opportunities.
- Contribute to growth strategy: Share learnings from the field and help refine messaging, processes, and tools to improve the sales motion.
- Meet and exceed KPIs: Achieve activity, demo, and revenue targets through disciplined outreach.
Who You Are:
- Proven sales performer: 5+ years SaaS sales experience, specifically within healthcare or healthtech.
- Strong track record: Consistent success meeting or exceeding quota in mid-market or multi-stakeholder sales ($15K–$40K ACV).
- Consultative communicator: Skilled at discovery, storytelling, and building business cases that resonate with diverse buyer personas.
- Strategic negotiator: Confident handling complex pricing, contract, and procurement processes.
- Relentless prospector: Self-motivated and energized by identifying and developing new opportunities.
- Share and collaborate: Contribute to a team culture of openness — sharing learnings, refining messaging, and helping others succeed.
