About Standard Bots

At Standard Bots, we're revolutionizing real-world automation by making robotic systems accessible to everyone. Our AI-powered platform enables robots to tackle unprecedented challenges through an intuitive instruction interface, bringing the power of software automation to physical spaces.

About the Role

You will work directly with the CEO to increase execution speed and decision quality across the company. You will build and run the operating mechanisms that keep priorities clear, decisions documented, and follow-through consistent across leaders.

The CEO stays close to key decisions. You will succeed by creating structure, surfacing tradeoffs, and driving accountability without relying on formal authority.

How you’ll spend your time

  • 50–60%: operating cadence + decision support (priorities, briefs, decision log, follow-through)

  • 20–30%: 1–2 cross-functional projects at a time (rotating)

  • 0–20%: board/fundraising ops (spikes during active cycles)

How you’ll operate

You own the mechanisms (cadence, agendas, pre-reads, decision logs, visibility).

  • Functional leaders own execution in their domains.

  • You unblock and escalate tradeoffs early; you do not become the long-term owner of other teams’ work.

What you’ll do

CEO leverage and decision support

  • Drive the CEO’s weekly cadence: priorities, agendas, meeting prep, and follow-through

  • Write concise meeting briefs with context, tradeoffs, a recommendation, and the decision needed

  • Maintain a decision log and commitment tracker across leadership, with owners, deadlines, and escalation triggers

  • Propose changes to the CEO’s calendar and time allocation to reflect the company’s true priorities

Operating rhythm and accountability

  • Drive planning and review routines (weekly execution review, monthly goals review, quarterly planning support), including agenda, pre-reads, action items, and closure

  • Spot execution drift early (unclear ownership, dependency risk, missed milestones) and intervene by clarifying owners, sequencing, and decisions needed

  • Make progress legible through lightweight reporting (dashboards, trackers, written updates) that reduces thrash

  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across Product, Engineering, GTM, Finance, and Ops and escalate conflicts with options

Strategy and cross-functional projects

  • Lead 1–2 high-impact projects at a time that cut across functions

  • Turn ambiguous problems into executable plans with milestones, owners, risks, and decision points

  • Pressure-test plans by surfacing assumptions, constraints, and second-order effects

  • Drive delivery end-to-end, including stakeholder alignment and follow-through

Fundraising and board operations (when active)

  • Own the operating work behind board meetings, investor updates, and fundraising cycles

  • Coordinate diligence requests and internal inputs so the CEO can focus on high-leverage conversations

  • Maintain narrative and metric hygiene across materials and updates

  • Flag misalignment risks between internal plans and external commitments early

Analytical and technical work

  • Build analyses, models, and lightweight tools that support decisions and execution

  • Use spreadsheets, scripts, dashboards, and LLM tooling to move faster and see clearer

  • Evaluate and implement internal tools and workflows that improve coordination and throughput

What we’re looking for

Non-negotiables

  • Exceptionally organized and reliable; you consistently close loops and make progress visible

  • Strong judgment with incomplete information; you can propose a decision and explain why

  • Clear, concise communicator; you can synthesize complexity into a one-page brief or crisp update

  • Technical and analytical fluency; you can build real models, automation, and tooling when needed

  • Calm under pressure, high integrity, and deeply trustworthy

Experience

  • 7+ years in roles like Chief of Staff, BizOps, program leadership, consulting, investing, or operating leadership

  • Track record working directly with senior executives and driving cross-functional outcomes

  • Startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred

  • Technical degree is a plus; demonstrated technical depth is more important

Role boundaries

This role focuses on operating cadence, decision support, and cross-functional delivery. It does not include personal admin support (travel booking, expenses, basic inbox triage).
