Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results.

The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.

We’re looking for a C2 Education & Content Specialist to shape how operators understand and interact with our command and control platform. This is a highly embedded, hands-on role for someone who can take complex, real-world system behavior and turn it into clear, intuitive training experiences. From creating quick start guides and operator manuals to scenario-based tutorials and demo narratives. You’ll work side by side with engineers, product teams, and flight operators, observing system use in live environments and translating those insights into content that is not only technically accurate, but immediately usable in the field. This role sits at the intersection of product, training, and storytelling. Your ability to think like an operator and communicate with precision will directly impact how our system is learned, deployed, and trusted.

What you’ll do:

  • Create high-quality training materials for our C2 platform, including:
    • Quick start guides
    • Operator manuals
    • Step-by-step tutorials
    • Scenario-based training content
  • Translate complex system behavior into clear, intuitive documentation that operators can quickly understand and apply in real-world environments
  • Write scripts for instructional and training videos, working closely with engineers and operators to ensure technical accuracy and clarity
  • Partner with our test and flight team to:
    • Observe real-world system usage
    • Capture workflows and edge cases
    • Continuously improve training content based on actual operations
  • Support product QA efforts by:
    • Walking through workflows as an end user
    • Identifying gaps in usability, clarity, and documentation
    • Providing structured feedback to the product team
  • Help concept and script high-impact demo videos that clearly communicate product capabilities to customers and stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and field teams to ensure consistency between how the system is built, tested, and taught
  • Work closely with the mission and customer success teams to align messaging in training materials with product branding and positioning.
  • Partner with mission and customer success teams to create troubleshooting guides or FAQs based on common customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and other stakeholders to gather content and ensure technical accuracy in training materials. Work with stakeholders through the design review process, reconciling quality and technical review, and ongoing customer expectations.

What you’ve done:

  • Written technical documentation, training materials, or instructional content for complex software or systems (bonus if in aerospace, robotics, defense, or similar domains)
  • Experience using Adobe Create Suite products to create materials
  • Written clear, structured content that simplifies complex workflows without losing technical accuracy
  • Collaborated closely with engineers, product managers, or operators to understand systems deeply before documenting
  • Contributed to or supported video-based content (e.g., scripting, storyboarding, or working with video teams)
  • Participated in QA, testing, or user validation workflows—either formally or informally
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and a bias toward clarity, usability, and end-user experience

What sets you apart:

  • You can take something complex and make it feel simple without dumbing it down
  • You think like an operator, not just a writer—you care about what someone actually does in the field
  • You naturally spot confusing workflows, missing steps, or unclear system behavior
  • You’re excited about combining documentation, training, and storytelling into a cohesive experience
  • You have strong instincts for what makes a demo or tutorial compelling—not just correct
  • You’re comfortable being hands-on with real systems, test environments, or field operations
  • You have an interest in aerospace, robotics, or mission-driven systems

What this role is not:

  • This is not a passive technical writing role where you simply document what others hand you
  • This is not purely a marketing content role focused on branding or social media
  • This is not a video production role—you won’t be expected to film/edit, but you will shape the story and content
  • This is not a purely internal documentation role—your work will directly impact customers and external perception
  • This is not isolated work—you will be embedded with product, engineering, and field teams

Compensation Range:

  • $90,000 - $135,000 yearly + Equity

Candidates for this position must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
