About the Role

As Verkada continues to expand our enterprise footprint across Australia, we’re hiring a Regional Sales Director to lead and grow our Enterprise team based in Sydney. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a fast-growing, disruptive technology company as we scale our regional presence.

Our mission is clear: to protect people and places in a privacy-sensitive way. Verkada’s cloud-based technology is transforming physical security across industries like retail, education, manufacturing, healthcare, and more. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading, developing, and executing the regional sales strategy, driving performance through a team of high-performing Enterprise Account Executives.

This will be a hybrid role with a preference for candidates located in Sydney.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Enterprise Account Executives focused on driving new business across key industries.
  • Spend at least 50% of your time in the field, meeting customers, supporting your reps in high-value deals, and deepening relationships with key accounts.
  • Own team performance against quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Guide Enterprise AEs in building and executing account strategies to uncover, develop, and close complex opportunities.
  • Partner with Channel Development and local integrators/resellers to strengthen Verkada’s presence and pipeline across Australia.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management through weekly one-on-ones, team reviews, and regular forecast sessions.
  • Actively participate in key deals, leading executive-level conversations, assisting in negotiations, and supporting complex closings.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Development, Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Enablement teams to optimise regional execution.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top enterprise sales talent in partnership with Verkada’s in-house recruiting and enablement teams.
  • This role requires regular travel, estimated to be more than 50% of the time, including both domestic and international destinations as needed. The successful candidate must be comfortable with frequent travel to support business operations, customer and partner engagements, and team collaboration.

What You Bring

  • 5–10+ years of experience leading a high-performing enterprise sales team in a complex technology environment.
  • Proven success driving greenfield growth and closing large, strategic enterprise deals.
  • Strong experience navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, ideally within government or public sector accounts.
  • Background selling physical security, SaaS, or IT/network infrastructure solutions highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and through channel partners.
  • Deep understanding and practical application of MEDDIC or similar enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and strategic thinking skills.
  • A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style comfortable selling alongside your team in the field.
  • Highly driven, intellectually curious, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
